Description of Work: I called ALL RESIDENTIAL AIR about 7pm last night, a tech came out to my house in about an hour found that the unit had blown a fuse and needed service, they performed complete maitenance service on my air conditioning and heating, and installed a new washable filter, also added about 2 lbs of freon, the system works great now. The work was complete within 2 hours. Now that the coils and filters are clean I should be saving about 10%-20% on my electric bill.

Description of Work: Replaced a broken fuse on rooftop air conditioning unit. The worker was on time, well-educated about a/c units. He checked out the unit, came back and told me what needed to be done, how much it would be, and then performed the work. All work was performed very quickly.

Description of Work: Replaced entire air conditioner... Member Comments: The field supervisor called me back exactly as promised. (When other A/C companies kept me on hold for over 30 min. and then did not call back at all) Gave me an estimate for replacing entire unit that was less then the other company quoted for replacing just the condenser. The work was done within the week (when the other company quoted 3 weeks) and workers arrived on time ready to go to work. They finished in a couple of hours and turned on the unit. The A/C has been in use for the past week and is keeping our home cooled...We are very happy with everything this company did for us and would recommend them to our friends...Sincerely, jk

Description of Work: Diagnostic was made for a metalic, grinding sound which was coming from the blower in our furnace. To correct the problem, the blower motor was replaced on the furnace. Then some freon was added and the pressure was tested and adjusted on the a/c condenser. All problems were remedied and the air conditioner now works well. Member Comments: Although our a/c needed repair during the height of our recent heat wave, I was pleasantly surprised at the quick response I received from All Residential Air. Within two days of my phone call, they were here to do the diagnostic. A couple days later, the blower was replaced and we were able to use the air conditioner. (Another company wanted us to wait for 3 weeks just to diagnose the problem!) Allen, the tech for our job, was prompt, efficient, professional and courteous. I was very impressed and have recommended him to others.

Description of Work: Repalce capacitor in air conditioner Member Comments: In the middle of a protracted heat wave my AC went out. News reports indicated air conditioner company's were swamped with calls. I had to try so I went to Angie's list and called All Residential Air. I got a return call from them that evening. Long story short, the next day a repairman showed up (on time) and repaired my AC. Even though he had a heavy work load that day he took the time to do the job right. I was very impressed by the company and their employes attention to detail.

Description of Work: The condenser fan motor for my A/C system triggered an interrupt due to too much resistance. The company representative, Alan, arrived during the promised time window and diagnosed the problem. He reset it and it started working again. Due to the age and condition of the condenser he suggested replacement. Member Comments: He gave me a quote on a replacement for my aged condenser without trying to sell me more than I needed. I was impressed with the honest and helpful visit on short notice.

Description of Work: Diagnosed and replaced failed igniter on heating unit. Member Comments: Called at 9pm. They gave me a window of 8-10am the next day. Allan came at 9:30am, and had replaced the failed igniter within 15 minutes. Clearly showed me how the old part had failed. Had replacement on van. Gave me a 12 month warranty on new part.

Description of Work: Gave a free estimate on repairs (on a Sunday!) and then replaced a defective furnace the next day. We called when our gas furnace failed to light and had a burning electrical smell. Allen came and looked at the unit. He advised that a circuit board had shorted. Replacement would cost around $300 and take a week to get parts. He said that it was common for the fan motor next to the board to fail also, and that would be another $700 and a week for parts. We asked for a quote for a new system, and this was double the cost of repairs. We also wanted an electronic filter, which was another $1500. As the old furnace was 18 years old, we decided to go with the new. Allen did not pressurize us at all, and would happily have repaired the old furnace if we wanted. The estimate was a flat rate (not hourly), so we knew in advance the entire cost. Member Comments: The team was a little late (30 minutes) but they called to warn us that they had a long line at the distribution center supplying the new furnace. They removed the old unit and disposed of it for us, and installed the new one. They were tidy and clean in their work. They completed the installation within the 4 hours that Allen had promised. My only disappointment is that they reused our 3 year old thermostat, which is not fully compatible with the new 2 stage furnace they installed. We did ask whether they recommended a new thermostat, and they said the old one would be fine. The thermostat works, but it does not fully use the energy-efficiency and quietness of the 2 stage unit.
